Supplies Needed for a Moss Base Easter Wreath
What I love about this wreath is that it only needs six materials! And of those materials, there are just three major components to it. Here’s a list of materials you need to get started:
1 20-inch moss wreath base
2 floral sprays
2 sprays with Easter decor
2 sprays with pom poms
1.5-inch wired ribbon roll in spring colors
1-inch wired ribbon roll with Easter pattern
While those are the major pieces, you’ll also need a few other materials, including:
Zip ties
Glue pot (my favorite is from Amazon)
Stem cutter (you can find mine on DecoExchange)
Now, ya’ll know how much I love bundles – and these bright, fun bundles are no exception! And if you put them one on top of the other, they would make a great decorative swag! BUT – we’re here to make a wreath, so let’s get to the instructions!

How to Make a Moss Base Easter Wreath
It may seem like there are a lot of steps in this, but it’s actually a pretty quick wreath. It took me less than 30 minutes to make it! This is a great go-to wreath recipe to keep around.
Step 1: Spread your floral sprays
Pull the branches of your sprays apart to spread them out and give them some life. If they have coils – like the ones I used – loosen the coils by lightly unraveling them.
Step 2: Create two bundles
Take one of each of your different sprays and layer them on top of one another, with the floral spray on the bottom layer. Make sure all of the centers of the sprays are touching. Then zip tie the sprays together at the stems, using two zip ties. Move the branches around and pull some pieces through so you can see them through each layer. If the stems are too long, cut them using a stem cutter.
Do this a second time to create another bundle.

Step 4: Zip tie your bundles together
Place your bundles together, side by side, with stems in the middle and the sprays facing outward – kind of like a bowtie. You want the bundles to be as close to each other in the middle as possible so you don’t see the stems. Zip tie the stems of the two bundles together using three zip ties – one in the middle and two on either end of the stems.
Step 5: Make Easter bows
Make three big, 7-inch loops on each side by pinching, twisting, and looping. Twist a pipe cleaner around the center of the bow. Leave enough ribbon on both ends for 28-inch tails.
Make a second bow with one 4.5-inch center loop, then two 5.5-inch loops on both sides and 28-inch tails.
Step 6: Layer the bows to make one big bow
Lay the smaller bow on top of the larger one and twist a pipe cleaner around the center to secure the two together. Dovetail the ends of the tails.

Step 7: Attach your bow to your bundle
Bring the tails to one side, then attach the bow to the bundle using the pipe cleaner that secured the bows. Twist it around the stems tightly and cut off the excess pipe cleaner.
Step 8: Attach your bundle to the moss base
Use thin wire to attach the bundle to the base on either side of the stem spine on the back of the bundle. Slide the wire through your bundle and around the full wreath base, twist it nice and tight to secure it, then clip off any excess wire.
Step 9: Clean up your design
Move around the branches and spread your bow out by pulling on the loops. Trim any long or stray pieces. Cut your bow tails to the length you want. Shape your sprays to take more of the wreath’s shape.
Pricing a Wreath to Sell
Once you’re done making your moss wreath, you’ll likely sit there admiring its beauty and wonder, “How much could I sell my wreath for?” That’s a common question amongst talented wreathmakers. And I have answers! In part two of this tutorial, I break down the costs of materials, provide a list of the exact products I used here and their SKUs and the equation to use for pricing along with the why behind it. We also talk about buying wholesale and what that means for your pricing. The three-day class includes conversation, calculation, and Q&A.
